If you are trying to find a person's cell phone number you are probably frustrated right about now. Unless they have given you their number or you know someone who has it finding a cell number is almost an exercise in futility.
Why, you ask?
There are privacy laws that prevent cellular providers from putting their customer's names, numbers, and addresses into public phone directories, otherwise known as the phone book and their online equivalents. This does not mean that you cannot find that person's cellular number but it's not as straight forward as most of us would like.
The first thing you can try if you have some patience and time to waste is to search Google for the person's name. In the internet age many people leave personal information, including cell phone numbers, somewhere in cyberspace.
This is particularly true of Web 2.0 sites such as MySpace and Facebook. They might not only leave this type of information on their own page but also on other peoples pages as contact information.
Of course using a search engine has a low percentage actually finding the number you are looking for and it can be time consuming but it is worth a shot because you just never know when you might get lucky.
The quickest and easiest way to find a person's cell phone number is through an online cellular phone directory. You will have to pay a small fee to use their services, usually between $10 -$30 depending on what level of service you desire. These directories are legal and easy to use.
